Peter Rabbit (Spring 2019)

If you’ve been around New Haven Ballet (NHB) recently, you’ll notice that the halls and studios are buzzing with excitement about NHB’s newest production: a full-scale Peter Rabbit, to showcase the school performance on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Shubert Theater.

For this year’s school performance, NHB is inviting all students, from Creative Ballet 1 to Level 8, into a gorgeous new production of a real ballet.

This year Artistic Director Lisa Sanborn has chosen the beloved adventures of Peter Rabbit, with brand-new choreography, staging, and costumes.

The production will include parts for squirrels, bunnies, flowers, frogs, clouds, cats, and more—in addition to New Haven Ballet Company performing the roles of Miss Potter and her friends, and featuring NHB faculty member and former Miami City Ballet Principal Dancer, Jeremy Cox as Mr. McGregor.

In addition, New Haven Ballet’s Company will perform excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty and our outreach program, Shared Ability, will also perform.

To be a part of the production, you must be registered at New Haven Ballet for the spring term and up to date on tuition and performance fees.

PERFORMANCE DATE: SATURDAY, MAY 18, 2019

PERFORMANCES: 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.
