ENRICHMENT CLASSES

While New Haven Ballet’s classical training is second to none, our Enrichment classes are what elevate our program — giving dancers the tools to surpass their peers. These classes accelerate progress, reduce injury risk, and complete a dancer’s education so they graduate fully prepared to enter a conservatory, professional trainee program, or embark on a professional career in dance, should that be their dream.

By pairing our world-class classical curriculum with equally exceptional enrichment instruction, we create well-rounded, versatile artists. Our professional enrichment faculty work in harmony with our classical teachers, ensuring that every aspect of a dancer’s training is intentional, integrated, and designed for maximum artistic and technical growth.

Enrichment classes are open to students in Levels 2–8 who are enrolled in New Haven Ballet’s Student Division.

BROADWAY REPERTORY

Step into the world of theatre dance with Broadway Repertory, led by seasoned Broadway performer Joseph J. Simeone. Students learn choreography from iconic shows such as Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Wicked, and West Side Story. Levels 5–8 students refine performance skills, gain stage presence, and learn audition and creative insights from the Broadway industry, all while elevating their technique and artistry.

“As a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, I can wholeheartedly say that Joseph J Simeone’s … course is a game-changer. Joseph’s passion for both music and dance is incredibly inspiring, and it shines through in every lesson. This course goes beyond the basics, diving deep into musical phrasing, performing elements, historical dance forms, and the emotional connection between music and movement. The practical exercises are amazing … If you’re a dancer looking to elevate your artistry, this course is a must.”
