Studio Receptionist/Greeter

New Haven Ballet is seeking responsible, reliable studio receptionists/greeters who enjoy working with young people and are interested in dance to help set up the studios before classes, check in students at the desk, make sure students are picked up after class, and act as a liaison between the school and our students. Hours are after school and on weekends. Part-time. Pay is $16/hour.

 

Children’s Division Assistant

New Haven Ballet is seeking a Children’s Division Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classical ballet and prior experience teaching dance and/or working with children. The assistant will help instructors by providing or reinforcing dance instruction using New Haven Ballet’s syllabus and teaching techniques to individuals or small groups of students in New Haven Ballet studios. The assistant may prepare instructional materials and perform related duties as the instructor assigns. Satisfactory completion of training offered by New Haven Ballet may culminate in being offered a position as a dance instructor. This is a part-time position. Hours are after school and on weekends. The rate of pay is $16 per hour. Prior experience working with young children is preferred.

 

DanceAIR Program Assistant

New Haven Ballet seeks individuals with a classical ballet background to assist DanceAIR instructors in New Haven Public Schools with dance instruction for young children. DanceAIR is a Community Program offering classical ballet training to New Haven Public School students free of charge that provides scholarships and performing opportunities. DanceAIR Assistants help instructors by providing or reinforcing dance instruction to individuals or small groups of students in New Haven Public School classrooms or other learning environments. DanceAIR assistants will adhere to New Haven Ballet’s syllabus and teaching techniques and may prepare instructional materials and perform related duties as assigned by the instructor. Satisfactory completion of DanceAIR Assistant Training may culminate in being offered a position as a DanceAIR instructor. This is a part-time position. Hours are during or after school at local elementary New Haven schools. The rate of pay is $16 per hour. Prior experience working with young children is preferred. 

 

Ballet Instructor

New Haven Ballet is looking for energetic and highly trained professional dancers with teaching experience to join our faculty. Balanchine esthetic. Part-time. Salary commensurate with experience.
