Ms. Michelina Cassella, NHB’s Physical Therapy Advisor, will be holding a seminar on injury prevention, Saturday, September 22nd from 2-3:30pm in Danspace, 70 Audubon St., New Haven. All NHB parents and students are invited to attend and engage in the discussion. Levels 4-8 are invited to participate with Ms. Cassella. Students who will be participating are asked to please bring a towel.

Ms. Cassella is the former Director of Physical Therapy Services at Boston Ballet, director of Physical and Occupational Therapy at Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA. and lecturer in Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard University. She is also the author of several articles on dance medicine.

We are pleased to welcome two new members to the New Haven Ballet 2012-2013 faculty! Nicole Cerutti will be joining the New Haven studio Children’s Division faculty and Jennifer Rockwell will be joining New Haven and Shoreline Student Division faculty.

New Haven Ballet is pleased to announce our guest artists for this year’s production of the Nutcracker will be Boston Ballet Principal Dancers Misa Kuranaga and Jeffrey Cirio. We are thrilled that these extraordinary artists will be sharing the stage with our wonderful NHB students.

Ms. Cassella was a member of our summer intensive faculty and held two very informative injury prevention workshops. She will be holding another injury prevention lecture/workshop in mid September 2012.
