New Haven Ballet is excited to welcome Mary Ann Mayer on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Ms. Mayer will offer ballet technique classes to Levels 2, 3 and 4 students at the Whitney Arts Center, 591 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT. This FREE workshop is offered to all NHB students enrolled in Levels 2, 3 and 4.

New Haven Ballet is taking a field trip to Lincoln Center to see New York City Ballet’s production of the classical ballet The Sleeping Beauty on Sunday, February 17, 2019!

Not only will we see the ballet The Sleeping Beauty performed by one of the best ballet companies in the world, we will also take a class with one of the dancers from New York City Ballet in their studios at Lincoln Center!

The fee is $225 per student. This includes: round-trip train fare to and from Union Station, New Haven, to Grand Central Station, New York, the fee to take the NYC subway to and from Lincoln Center, the ticket to see the NYCB performance of The Sleeping Beauty, the class taught by a member of the New York City Ballet Company, and lunch!

Lunch will be a box lunch, which consists of a sandwich, bottled water and cookie. We will eat before the performance.

The number of tickets that we have is limited. Payment must be received to reserve tickets, which are available on a first come first served basis. Please note payment is non-refundable.

SHARED ABILITY 2019:

New Haven Ballet’s Shared Ability program consists of weekly dance workshops for differently abled artists aged 10+ years. Classes are lead by Kerry Kincy, a teaching artist who uses dance as a tool to build social and cognitive abilities. This wonderful program affords participating artists, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other challenges, and their families, a chance to dance, meet, interact and share their unique experiences with one another in a safe and supportive environment.
