Artistic Director Lisa Kim Sanborn is pleased to announce that Alicia Mae Holloway will offer Master Classes to matriculating Level 4-8 dancers.

Alicia Mae Holloway is from Morgantown, West Virginia and began dancing when she was three years old at Kat and company dance studio. In 2007, Alicia began taking classes at Morgantown Dance Studio with Desiree Witt, Lauren Sone, Marilyn Pipes, Eunice Kim, and Robert Steele. She also trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts before attending the School of American Ballet from 2011-2015, where she trained with Suzy Pilarre, Suki Schorer, Darci Kistler, Kay Mazzo, and Jock Soto. Over the last few summers, Alicia has attended the Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program, as well as Pacific Northwest Ballet. She began her professional career dancing with the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and is now dancing her sixth season with the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
Artistic Director Lisa Kim Sanborn is pleased to announce that New York City Ballet Soloist, Sean Suozzi, will be joining New Haven Ballet’s faculty August 30.
Mr. Suozzi is offering a Master Class to allow rising Level 6, 7 & 8 students an opportunity to meet and work with him on Saturday, August 21, from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
Cost: $20 per student

Sean Suozzi was born in Glen Cove, New York, and began his dance training at the age of seven with Joyce DiLauro. Mr. Suozzi later trained at New Haven Ballet with Noble and Ruth Barker, followed by four years at the Nutmeg Ballet in Torrington, Connecticut with Sharon Dante, Joan Kunsch, Eleanor D’Antuono, Alexei Tchernichov, and Kevin Martin.
After attending the 1997 summer session at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, Mr. Suozzi was invited to continue his studies in the SAB winter session as a scholarship student. At SAB, he studied with Stanley Williams, Andrei Kramarevsky, Peter Boal, Jock Soto, and Susan Pilarre, among other SAB teachers. Mr. Suozzi was invited to become an apprentice with New York City Ballet in April 1999 and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in February 2000. In May 2007, Mr. Suozzi was promoted to soloist. He is joining the faculty of New Haven Ballet in Fall 2021.

New Haven Ballet faculty member, Kerry Kincy, has been named a 2021 Connecticut Arts Hero by the State of Connecticut Office of the Arts.
Ms. Kincy leads NHB’s Shared Ability program, which provides dance workshops to differently abled dancers.
