We are excited for Open Division classes to return to the studio. We have also added new classes and teachers to the Open Division schedule this fall!

New this year are 1-hour classes, which cost $15 per class or $120 for a ten-class card.

 

Wednesday: Pilates Mat 9:00-10:00 a.m. (70 Audubon Street/Powell) – Bring a Mat

Wednesday: Beginning Contemporary 7:30-8:30 p.m. (591 Whitney Avenue/Ratkovicz)

Friday: Beginning Ballet 6:00-7:00 p.m. (70 Audubon Street/Paff)

 

Intermediate level Ballet classes are 1.5 hours long and cost $20 per class or $17 for college students and senior citizens or $180 for a ten-class card, $155 for college students and senior citizens.

 

Monday: 7:00-8:30 p.m. (591 Whitney Avenue/Seto-Weiss)

Tuesday: 10:00-11:30 a.m. (70 Audubon Street/Barker)

Thursday: 10:00-11:30 a.m. (70 Audubon Street/Barker)

Thursday: 7:00-8:30 p.m. (591 Whitney Avenue/Vendetto)

Saturday: 7:30-9:00 a.m. (70 Audubon Street/Barker)

Sunday: 10:00-11;30 a.m. (70 Audubon Street/Barker)

 

Please arrive early! Due to increased building security measures and COVID protocols, students must arrive at least 10-15 minutes before class begins. The building and elevators are locked. Late arrivals will not be granted access to the building or studio.

 

Please Email a photo of your vaccination card to attend studio classes.

 

Masks are required at the moment regardless of vaccination status per a mandate from the Mayor of the City of New Haven. NHB follows CDC guidelines and is updating protocols continuously.

New Haven Ballet is pleased to announce that Timothy Fountain will be joining the faculty in September 2021.

Timothy Fountain is a native of Bridgeport. He began his dance training at the age of 12 with Bridgeport Ailey camp in 1999, which established his love of dance. Mr. Fountain continued his dance training at the Westport Dance Center and later received a scholarship to the Ballet School of Stamford under the direction of Stephanie Marini. Mr. Fountain attended summer programs at the North Carolina Dance Theater, Harrid Conservatory, and the Ailey School. He performed and trained with dancers from Boston Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. Mr. Fountain was a member of Cedar Lake II Contemporary Ballet, Missouri Contemporary Ballet and Tina Thompson Dance Company. He has choreographed for Neighborhood Studio of County in Bridgeport and several high school musicals, including Thoroughly Modern MillieWizard of Oz and Lion King in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. In 2021, Mr. Fountain joined New Haven Ballet School and is excited to share his knowledge and passion for dance with the next generation.
