FREE enrichment trial class through September for students enrolled at New Haven Ballet in Levels 3-8!

New students may also take a free placement class.

Enrichment classes are offered to support and maximize a student’s progress and potential. Students in levels 3-8 should participate in at least one weekly conditioning class. Broadway and Contemporary dance classes are encouraged to build physical strength, flexibility, musicality, and broaden a dancer’s overall technical skills and artistry.

Monday – 5:00-6:00 pm – Levels 7 8 – Pilates and Conditioning (Audubon St)

Tuesday – 6:00-7:00 pm – Level 3-5 Beginning Contemporary (Whitney)

Wednesday – 4:00-5:30 pm – Level 6-8 Advanced Contemporary (Whitney)

Wednesday – 5:30-6:30 pm – Level 3-8 Conditioning and Stretch (Whitney)

Wednesday – 6:30-8:00 pm – Level 3-5 Intermediate Contemporary (Whitney)

Friday – 4:30-5:30 pm – Level 5-6 – Broadway (Audubon St)

Friday – 5:30- 7:00 pm – Level 7-8 Broadway (Audubon St)

Friday – 7:00-8:00 pm – Level 7-8 Musicality for Dancers (Audubon St)

Saturday – 11:00 am-12:00 pm – Level 4-6 Conditioning (Audubon St)

This has been a wonderful Spring 2023 and we are proud of the progress our students have made this year. To celebrate New Haven Ballet will offer three spring performances:

May 19, 6:30 p.m., DanceAIR performs at ECA ACES Arts Hall Free Admission

May 27, 1:00 p.m., New Haven Ballet School, the Company, Shared Ability, Neighborhood Music Premier Quartet, Music Haven’s Pomegranates String Quartet, and more perform at the Shubert Theatre New Haven.

June 9, 6:00 p.m., New Haven Ballet performs on the Branford Green

New Haven Ballet Artistic Director, Lisa Kim Sanborn, announced that auditions for the student company will be held on Friday, January 20. Auditions are open to all Level 5-8 students who wish to perform in the Spring Performance on May 27, 2023 at the Shubert Theatre New Haven. Pre-registration is required.

The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce has awarded New Haven Ballet with the Sunspot Innovation Award. The Nonprofit Resource Council Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Artistic Director, Lisa Kim Sanborn, and New Haven Ballet will be recognized for having exhibited exceptional business or community leadership skills, noteworthy results, and being an active participant in local organizations.
